September in History

While many animals know when time passes, humans alone can remember past events and turn them into stories, or "histories."

We now have access to more types of historical evidence and better records than ever before.

It's amazing to think we can say something meaningful about how the Earth or the universe began, and we have so much information about recent centuries that historians will never use it all.

This means we're doing history better than those who came before us.
