15,000 Nigerian Youths to Receive Free TVET Skills
About the TVET Programme
The National Steering Committee on National Poverty
Reduction with Growth Strategy (NPRGS) has approved Project T-Max, a Technical
and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) Programme, as one of the core
interventions to achieve the Federal Government's goal of lifting 100 million
Nigerians out of poverty by 2030.
It is intended to provide technical and vocational
skills to Nigerians while maximising existing private and public TVET centres
and resources across the country.
The pilot
phase of this programme will run from August
to December 2022. The Federal Government plans to empower 15,000 Nigerian
youths in technical and vocational fields through this programme.
Who is Eligible to Participate in the TVET Programme?
Nigerians who:
* Are between
the ages of 18 and 35.
* Reside in
any of the pilot states.
* Are available to attend the full course of the programme.
* Have the ability to read and write in English.

How to Apply for the TVET Programme
To apply for
the ongoing online application, all interested applicants should visit https://portal.tmax.ng/.
Online Registration Deadline for TVET Programme
The online
registration deadline for the TVET Programme is scheduled as follows for each
pilot state:
LAGOS & OGUN STATES:
1st – 16th September, 2022.
KADUNA STATE:
7th – 23rd September, 2022.
OTHER STATES (Edo, Enugu, Gombe & Nasarawa):

Important Notice about TVET Programme
> All
applicants must be residents in any of the pilot states and be ready to
complete the full course of the programme.
> Only
applicants who complete at least 90% of attendance will be considered
successful and eligible for Certificate of Proficiency, Starter Packs and
Placements.
> Kindly
note that Skills under ICT require that the applicant has a personal Computer
and Experience in the use of Microsoft Office Suite.
